Two-time defending champion and World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler returns to Albany, Bahamas for the 2025 Hero World Challenge
Following the commitment deadline, the player field for the 2025 Hero World Challenge has been announced. Hosted by Tiger Woods, the 2025 edition of the tournament returns to Albany, Bahamas, December 4-7.
This year’s 20-player field features four of the top 10 players in the world (as of the eligibility date), including World No. 1-ranked Scottie Scheffler, the tournament’s two-time defending champion who won two of his four major championships in 2025. Scheffler is one of three past champions in the field, joined by 2016 champion Hideki Matsuyama and 2014 winner Jordan Spieth. The field features eight golfers who have combined to win 13 major championships. Eight 2025 Ryder Cup participants, including Robert MacIntyre, Justin Rose and Sepp Straka from the victorious European Team, are in the field as is Team USA captain Keegan Bradley and Team Europe vice captain Alex Noren.
Three players – 2025 U.S. Open champion J.J. Spaun, 2025 Genesis Scottish Open champion Chris Gotterup and Andrew Novak – will make their Hero World Challenge debuts. The 2025 field represents golfers from seven different countries (U.S., Scotland, England, Austria, Japan, Canada and Sweden).

Tournament rounds will be held December 4-7 at Albany, bringing the event back to The Bahamas for its tenth year. Live television coverage of the 2025 Hero World Challenge will be provided by GOLF Channel during all four rounds and by NBC Sports during the third and final rounds.
Grounds tickets and a limited number of premium hospitality packages for the Hero World Challenge are available for purchase. Proceeds from the Hero World Challenge benefit the TGR Foundation, Tavistock Foundation and Bahamas Youth Foundation.
